TRANSGRESSION TRAIL – release date APRIL 17th in Vancouver

COMING APRIL 17th 2010, TRANSGRESSION TRAIL
12 original and hot new songs by JOEY ONLY, featuring the Outlaw Band.

RICKSHAW THEATRE – EAST HASTINGS, 9PM,
with Brooke Wylie and the Coyotes (Calgary) and Kent McCallister.

Joey Only’s newest work of recording magic is a brilliant 12 song dive into the joys and sorrows of his life on the road as a rebel folk singer. This album is a personal reflection on the growth of his own character. Transgression Trail is an authentic example of rockabilly meeting country and punk giving birth to a series of noble truths captured in song. Life and death are obstacles on this trail to the other side where mystery & madness exists in every stop along the Trans-Canada Highway.

Songs like The Ghetto Birdz give reference to his political and punk underpinnings. Transgression Trail and Wicked Whisky – No Control highlight his own struggles with poor choices and terrible consequences. Haligonian Hellride, Birthday Blizzard Bus-Ride Blues, Greyhounding Guitar Man, Manitoba Make-up and Midwest Festival are stories of hard travelling and suffering to true adventure. Punk Rock Country Band and Honky Tonk Hockey are comedic critiques while That One Last Song reminds you to stop taking things for granted.

This is a songwriters album. These songs are well written stories designed to trigger your nostalgia and take you on the trail. Come get it in Vancouver on April 17th!
